Vincent Associates prides itself on the quality x ray shutters manufactured available for use in numerous applications including but not limited to video imaging, telescopy, microscopy, holography, and x ray applications.
UNIBLITZ® offers the XRS series of shutters that are used to mechanically block energy in the x-ray region of the spectrum. Usually a dense material for a blade has to be substituted (for standard optical applications) to provide the "extinction" or "blocking level" required to make the device useful for applications which require switching x-rays quickly. This is since most x-ray sources cannot be switched on and off because this usually causes destabilization or inconsistency in the x-ray output.
Standard x-ray shutters from UNIBLITZ® are offered in 6mm (XRS6), 14mm (XRS14), and 25mm (XRS25) apertures. Alternative aperture sizes and different levels of x-ray blocking may be available on request by contacting our technical representatives.
Vincent Associates has a number of apertures and shutter types available to meet most applications. Shown below is a quick comparison of the available x-ray shutter types and some of their features.
