Microscope Shutters
Vincent Associates prides itself on the quality microscope shutters manufactured available for use in numerous applications including but not limited to video imaging, telescopy, microscopy, holography, and x-ray switching.
UNIBLITZ® microscope shutter systems can be conveniently equipped with microscope mounting systems and are then used as microscope shutters. These microscope shutters are then easily utilized in applications where microscope light sources (lamp houses) need to be switched precisely for fluorescence or transmitted microscope applications and is accomplished by removing the lamp house and interposing the microscope shutter between the illuminator of the microscope and the lamp house. Vincent Associates has designed a number of mounting systems that can be interfaced with popular microscopes systems. Mounting systems are available for Zeiss, Nikon, Olympus, and Leica type microscopes. Others may be available on request.
For microscopy applications utilizing mercury arc lamps, we strongly recommend the "R3" enhancement. This internal shutter modification allows specific shutter devices to operate properly under the heat generated by mercury arc lamps. When ordering the "R3" option, the shutter would, in most applications be equipped with the "ZM" blade coating.
