The year was 1969. Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, and Vincent Associates shipped the first UNIBLITZ® shutter. The years since have seen many exciting changes in, not only in the UNIBLITZ Product line, but as the Photonics Industry has grown, so have the many challenging application areas where we have been able to offer viable solutions to customers World Wide. What started out as a one inch aperture, two bladed shutter, has grown into multiple series of shutters in two distinct product lines with apertures ranging from 1mm - 90mm.

UNIBLITZ Shutters have provided solutions in numerous application areas, including Microscopy, Medical Imaging, CCD and Video, low level laser switching, and others where total light extinction was demanded.

The UNIBLITZ Product Line is now actually TWO lines. We continue to offer the traditional UNIBLITZ Shutter with it’s two bladed design. Detailed information can be located under our LS and VS Series sections of Shutter information. In 2002 we unveiled our newly updated CS Series Shutters, starting with the 45mm Shutter, offering it's substancialy smaller format, while maintaing the long life, and operational stability that UNIBLITZ shutters are recognized for. Since then we have expanded the CS Series to include the original 45mm, a 25mm, a 65mm, 90mm with plans on further expansion as application demand requires.

Along with the two Shutter lines, we offer a full line of complementary Electronic Driver interfaces, interconnecting cables, Video, and Microscope Adapters to address your specific application.
