Vincent Associates shipped the first UNIBLITZ® Electronic Shutter in 1969 and the years since have proven to bring exciting developments in the UNIBLITZ® Shutter Product line as well as the Photonics Industry as a whole. UNIBLITZ® Shutters have been able, time and time again, to meet the needs of the ever changing and growing industry with viable shutter solutions to customers World Wide. Starting as just a one inch aperture, two bladed shutter, UNIBLITZ® products have grown into multiple series of electro-mechanical shutters in three distinct product lines with apertures ranging from 2mm - 90mm.
Microscopy, Medical Imaging, CCD, Video and low level Laser switching, among other applications where total light extinction is demanded, have benefitted greatly with the successful shuttering solutions delivered by UNIBLITZ® Electronic Shutters.
Since the first UNIBLITZ® Electronic Shutter Product was shipped, Vincent Associates now have offerings in the following distinct product lines. Our UNIBLITZ® Shutter Systems are available in seven series, including VS, LS, CS, XRS, NS, DSS, and TS, which are ever expanding to fill customer need. The VS and LS series are the legacy products of the UNIBLITZ® line and truly, by design and capability, have set Vincent Associates apart for all other shutter manufacturers worldwide. With over 40 years of manufacturing knowhow built into the VS and the LS devices, customers with challenging applications continue to require what these devices can provide - speed, reliability, repeatability and overall quality. The CS Series is of special interest to applications where special constraints require a smaller format than the VS series while maintaining the long operational lifetimes UNIBLITZ® Shutters are known for. The NS and DSS Series have proven to be popular in OEM applications where we have blended long operational lifetimes with a reduction in overall parts count and overall size. The TS Series is best suited for OEM applications that may normally choose a flag type shutter due to its low cost, small size and scalability. Lastly the XRS series provide customers using x-rays the capability to switch x-ray energy with the same ease and reliability as our products that control light energy.
